Feast Whakatū

Say ‘kia ora’ to Nelson Tasman’s newest celebration of food, Feast Whakatū.

Feast Whakatū was a 10-day celebration of Nelson Tasman’s incredible culinary diversity, and a well-deserved recognition of the producers and artisans who are at the forefront of New Zealand’s food and beverage scene. Already known for its stunning beaches and sunshine hours, Feast Whakatū was a new way for locals and visitors alike to embrace everything the region has to offer.

Publik worked with Nelson Events to bring the event to life, providing support, creating its vibrant branding and style and getting the word out to local and national media about New Zealand’s latest and greatest food festival.

Event goers got to experience a wide range of mouth-watering gastronomic delights from exceptional Whakatū based growers, producers, brands, chefs and restaurants.

Fresh, attention-grabbing visuals broke the visual noise across many of the advertising and communication mediums identified in the strategy, allowing the event to gain the attention and consideration it deserved.

Feedback from the community was exceptional, with the concept well received.

With 9.5K visits to the site, 389,826 impressions from social media advertising and 808 followers across social channels, it is sure to be a popular regular fixture on the events scene in Te Tauihu.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story can make all the difference.
